Race #1 - Spring Green
The NASCAR North Tour Series made their 1st stop of 1980 in Milton, Vermont at the Catamount Stadium, for the Spring Green.
Randy Corey led the field to the Green Flag as the second season of the NASCAR North Tour Series began with Corey pulling away quickly from the rest of the pack before defending 1979 Champion Beaver Dragon started to cut into his lead, which had grown to about two seconds. Around the halfway mark, Dragon took the lead and he began to put distance between himself and everyone else, a lead he would still hold when with five laps to go, defending race winner Gardiner Leavitt wrecked hard in Turn 4, ending the race under caution and giving the win to the defending champion.

Race #2 - Pine Tree Open 100
The NASCAR North Tour made their 2nd stop of 1980 in Milton, Vermont at the Oxford Plains Speedway, for the Pine Tree Open 100.
Stan Meserve led the field to the green flag as drivers raced for the very first time as the Oxford Plains Speedway, which led to a rash of cautions during the event, allowing for Meserve to lead more then half of the event's laps before Mike Rowe was able to work his away into the lead with less then twenty five laps to go. Thanks to two more cautions, Rowe was able to keep his lead and get a great jump on the final restart and cruised to take the Checkered Flag. However since Rowe wasn't competing for championship points in the NASCAR North Tour for the event, the win was given to the highest North driver, that being Ron Barcomb who finished 3rd, was scored as the official winner.

Race #3 - Thunder 100
The NASCAR North Tour made their 3rd stop of 1980 in Barre, Vermont at the Thunder Road International Speedbowl, for the Thunder 100.
Mike Johnson led the field to the Green Flag but it was Dave Dion who would lead the first seven laps before Kevin Cavanagh took the lead on Lap 8. Cavangah began to build up a lead as drivers tried to adjust to the track, with a distance of only one hundred laps, drivers had to use what they had, not being able to make any adjustments unless a caution came out, which didn't happen until three fourths of the race had already been completed. With two more cautions coming out, with one coming out with two laps to go, the race ended behind the pace car, with Cavanagh being scored the race winner.

The NASCAR North Tour Series made their 4th stop of 1980 in St. Pie., Quebec, Canada at the Sanair Super Speedway, for the Molson 225.
Bobby Dragon led the field to the Green Flag for the sixth time in his career as he quickly began to pull away while his brother and points leader Beaver Dragon blocked for him for much of the event as only three cautions came out in the early half of the race, while Bobby Dragon was never passed on the track, losing the lead during a round of pit stops, as Bobby Dragon scored his first win in over a year.

The NASCAR North Tour made their 5th stop of 1980 in Plattsburgh, New York at the Plattsburgh International Raceway, for the Clinton County 50.
Jamie Aube led the field to the green and would quickly begin to distance between himself and the rest of the field, as a short fifty lap distance meant that drivers would have to fight hard for every position. No cautions would fly during the event, meaning the field got spread out, Stubb Fadden would work his way up from fourth, and when Aube caught lap traffic, Fadden pounced and took the lead with eleven laps to go. No matter what Aube tried, he could never get back around Fadden, and Fadden would go on and score the first win of his career.

The NASCAR North Tour made their 6th stop of 1980 in Barre, Vermont at the Thunder Road International Speedbowl, for the Memorial Day Classic.
Dick Glines led the field to the Green Flag but it was Jamie Aube who would lead the first two laps before Robbie Crouch passed him for the lead as Crouch and Aube would swap the lead one more time before Crouch took the lead for good on Lap 29, the battle behind him was intense as five cautions would fly during the event, including one with four laps to go, forcing the race to end under yellow, and Robbie Crouch scored his first win of the season.

The NASCAR North Tour made their 7th stop of 1980 in Val Belair, Quebec, Canada at the Autodrome Val Belair, for the Super Molson 100.
Jamie Aube led the field to the Green Flag but it was Jamie Aube who would lead the first nineteen laps before Langis Caron passed him briefly before Aube took the lead back four laps later. After taking the lead back, Aube pulled away from his challengers over the next eighty laps while lapping drivers slowly, but with ten to go he was stuck behind lap traffic, which allowed Roger Laperle to close front two seconds to being right on his bumper. No matter how many times he tried, Laperle could never time his move right to pass Aube as the drivers took two laps to go, Laperle made a move in Turn 3, spinning Aube out of the lead and took the white flag to a round of boos. Since the white flag had been displayed, Laperle drove around the next lap and would be scored the controversial win.
