In a press conference earlier today, NASCAR has announced new Rookie of the Year eligibility in the NASCAR Legends and Gen 6 Leagues.
"We here are NASCAR have come to the decision as the end of Season 2 in the Legends League, there will be a drop of three races from 10 to 7 where a rookie can only race 7 and still keep his eligibility for Rookie of the Year in the next season."said NASCAR President Mike Helton.
Currently several drivers have competed in over 7 races in Season 2 but at the start of Season 3 it will be reduced down from a max of 10 races to a max of 7.
"We are trying to make it as fair as possible to everyone, and we have decided 7 is the best choice."
