Race #8 of 24 was the Coca-Cola 200 at the Bristol International Raceway.
Joe Ruttman led the field to the green as he would dominate the first half of the race and was well on his way to scoring his second straight win at Bristol.
However just after halfway, his truck faded allowing Lance Norick to take the lead and pulled away to score the surprising win.

Race #11 of 24 was the Ford Dealers 225 at the Louisville Motor Speedway.
Ron Hornaday Jr. led the field to the green on a sunny day in Louisville, Kentucky, however it was Mike Skinner leading the first lap.
Mike Skinner and Ron Hornaday Jr. would swap the lead early in the race until Hornaday was taken out by an accident, allowing Jimmy Hensley and Dave Rezendes to battle for the lead at that point.
Jimmy Hensley would pit early, which caused Rezendes to pull away and lead past halfway until Mike Skinner retook the lead briefly as Rezendes would pull away until with about 20 laps to go, Bobby Gill began to close on him.
Bobby Gill would pass Rezendes for the lead late in the race, only for Rezendes to pass him and hold off Gill's last lap effort and scored the win.

Mike Bliss led the field to the green on a sunny day in Odessa, Missouri, however it was Rick Carelli leading the first 64 laps.
The caution flag would fly only five times as it was an intense battle all day, mostly between Carelli and Bliss but it was the surprising rookie of Doug George who pulled away late to score the win.

Race #13 of 24 was the Cummins 200 at the Indianapolis Raceway Park.
Mike Skinner led the field to the green on a sunny day in Clermont, Indiana as Skinner would quickly pull out to a big lead early to the point no one was able to catch Skinner, who would score the second straight year in a row at IRP.
Other Noticeables: Mike Skinner won his 4th race of the year, Skinner scored his 7th career Craftsman Truck Series win and his first since Heartland Park 6 races ago, Skinner led 1 time for 200 laps, inculding all 200 laps, Steve Park, Tony Stewart, Dave Stacy and Mike McLaughlin made their Craftsman Truck Series debuts, Skinner, who finished 1st, became the new points leader, now 10 over Dave Rezendes.

Mike Bliss won the pole, with a time of 27.426 seconds, beating Rick Carelli by 0.004 seconds.
Other Noticeables: Mike Bliss won his 2nd pole of the year, Bliss won the 3rd pole of his career in the Craftsman Truck Series his first pole since I-70 2 races ago, Rick Carelli, the winner of this race one year ago, will be starting 2nd, Mike Skinner, who will start 8th, will be trying to improve on his 10 point lead over Dave Rezendes

Race #14 of 24 was the Stevens Beil / Genuine Parts 200 at the Flemington Speedway.
Mike Bliss led the field to the green on a sunny day in Flemington, New Jersey as Bliss would be quickly passed by Rick Carelli who led the first lap, but Mike Skinner would take over on Lap 2 and began to once again pull away from the field.
Flemington would prove to be a tough break for championship contenders, first Jack Sprague would be collected in a early wreck, as well as Jimmy Hensley. Joe Ruttman's truck would break a Piston and kept him well outside the Top 10 in points.
Harry Gant, making one of his rare stops in the truck series for 1996, would perform well staying in the Top 5 all day even leading some laps but the race out come would happen with 37 laps to go.
The final caution came out on Lap 163 for a spin in Turn 2, while trying to avoid it, leader Mike Skinner had no where to go, collecting Butch Miller, Harry Gant and Dave Rezendes, taking out all in the Top 4 out of the race and allowing Mike Bliss to take the lead.
Mike Bliss, who started on the pole but never led a lap, was now the leader and would defend his lead for the final 37 laps and would score an unlikely win at Flemington.

Race #15 of 24 was the Parts America 150 at the Watkins Glen International.
Joe Nemechek led the field to the green on a cloudy day in Watkins Glen, New York but it was Jack Sprague as it would be a long day of survival trying to see who would do good and who would fail at The Glen.
The first victim was Ron Hornaday Jr. who was involved in a early accident and knocked out of the race. The same thing would happen to Butch Miller.
The late half of the race was a three truck battle between Rich Bickle, Jack Sprague and Joe Nemechek, a battle won by Bickle who scored the win at Watkins Glen.
Other Noticeables: Rich Bickle won his 2nd race of the year, Bickle scored his 2nd career Craftsman Truck Series win and his first since Portland 11 races ago, Bickle led 4 time for 38 laps, including the final 14 laps, Skinner, who finished 21st, kept his points lead, now 4 over Dave Rezendes.
