Race #16 - Roses Stores 200
The NASCAR Budweiser Late Model Sportsman Series had to travel up the east coast for the 16th stop of the season in South Boston, Virginia, the site of the South Boston Speedway for the Roses Stores 200.
Tommy Ellis led the field to the green flag on a hot night as Ellis would lead the first four laps before being passed by Eddie Falk as both drivers would swap the lead several times in the early laps before Ellis would drive his car too deep into Turn 3, bumping Falk and causing him to spin out and received rear end damage. After leading for another 30 laps, Ronnie Silver would pass Ellis and take the lead looking to try and score back-to-back wins however when Eddie Falk stalled on the track, Silver was forced to pit allowing Ellis to retake the lead.

Race #17 - Mason Day Paving 200
The NASCAR Budweiser Late Model Sportsman Series had to travel back down the east coast for the 17th stop of the season in Rougemont, North Carolina, the site of the Orange County Speedway for the Mason Day Paving 200.
Dale Jarrett led the field to the green flag on a clear night but it was Sam Ard getting a great jump and taking the lead heading into Turn 1 as Ard was looking to improve on his point lead as much of the night, drivers showed respect to one another, as the caution flag would fly only three times, one of them being for a wreck in Turn 3. Ard would lead much of the event before the final fifty laps began to get intense.
Jack Ingram, who had beat Sam Ard for the 1982 title, had picked his way through the field and onto Ard's back bumper and for the last ten laps it was an intense battle between the two drivers before sadly lap traffic spoiled a great finish and allowed Ard to pull away and score the win.
In victory lane, Ard proclaimed that quote "That battle with Ingram was one of the best races I've had in this series, if it wasn't for lap traffic at the end I'm sure we would have been nose to nose at the finish line."
Other Noticeables: Sam Ard scored his 4th win of the year, Ard scored his 8th career NASCAR Budweiser Late Model Sportsman Series win and his first since Hickory 3 races ago, Ard led 4 times for 176 laps, including the final 6 laps, Jimmy Jennings(12th) and Steve Hauser(22nd) made their NASCAR Budweiser Late Model Sportsman Series debuts, Ard, who finished 1st, kept his points lead, leading Jack Ingram by 59 points

Race #19 - Mello Yello 200
The NASCAR Budweiser Late Model Sportsman Series didn't have to travel far for the 19th stop of the season in Rougemont, North Carolina, the site of the Orange County Speedway for the Mello Yello 200.
Bob Shreeves led the field to the green flag on a clear day and would lead the first nine laps before being passed by Sam Ard, much of the race was run behind the pace cars as caution after caution would come out due to a small spin as drivers struggled to get use to the track on a clear day as a record 13 different drivers would lead at some point during the race setting a new NASCAR Budweiser Late Model Sportsman Series that had lasted for almost a whole year.
As the laps counted down it turned into a three car battle, Butch Lindley, Eddie Falk and Jack Ingram all led late as Falk looked to win in back to back races but he was passed late by Lindley with only 5 laps to go as Lindley would drive away and score his second ever win in NASCAR's secondary series.
Other Noticeables: Butch Lindley scored his 1st win of the year, Lindley scored his 2nd career NASCAR Budweiser Late Model Sportsman Series win and his first since IRP 27 races ago, Lindley led 3 times for 13 laps, including the final 5 laps, Ard, who finished 13th, kept his points lead, leading Jack Ingram by 92 points,

Race #20 - Coca-Cola 200
The NASCAR Budweiser Late Model Sportsman Series didn't have to travel far for the 20th stop of the season in South Boston, Virginia, the site of the South Boston Speedway for the Coca-Cola 200.
Dale Jarrett led the field to the green flag and would lead the first 18 laps as it turned out to be a warm night in Virginia as drivers raced for the 4th time in 1983 at South Boston. Much of the night the racing would be intense with drivers fighting hard for every position while wrecks and mechanical issues would knock several drivers out of the racing including Jarrett. Robert Ingram would find himself leading early before he was passes by the 1982 NASCAR Budweiser Late Model Sportsman Series Jack Ingram who would lead very briefly before Sam Ard would take over and began to pull away. With each lap Sam Ard's lead would grow and he would easily hold on for his fifth win of 1983.
