Race #8 - Pronto Auto Parts 400K
The NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series made their eighth stop of 1998 at the Texas Motor Speedway, in Fort Worth, Texas, for the Pronto Auto Parts 400K.

Houston and Raines would swap the lead two more times before Kevin Harvick worked his way into the lead as he would lead for much of the first hundred laps, swapping the lead himself with Tony Roper before Houston would take the lead back as Houston would show his talents just like he had done at Phoenix, pulling away from all challengers, losing the lead only during round of pit stops.
Houston would take the lead with twenty six laps to go after the final pit stops while Kevin Harvick began to cut down the lead, having been nearly ten seconds behind, cutting it down to four seconds, but it wasn't enough as Houston would score his second win of his career and the second of 1998.
