Supertruck Mesa Marin 20
The SuperTruck Series by Craftsman made their 1st stop of 1994 at the Mesa Marin Raceway, in Bakersfield, California, for the Supertruck Mesa Marin 20.
Rob MacCachren made history as he led the field to the green flag for the first ever truck series race in the history of NASCAR, but it was Craig Huartson who would lead the first ever laps in the series history. Officials instructed the drivers to take it easy for the first ten laps before being allowed to go full throttle as the first ten laps were run side by side between all five drivers until on Lap 12, leader Huartson lost control and spun out in Turn 4 as no caution would fly, he would have trouble restarting his truck, falling a lap down before he was able to get rolling.
P.J. Jones had assumed the lead thanks to Huartson's spin and easily held off pole sitter Rob MacCachren to score the historic win.

Supertruck Portland 20The SuperTruck Series by Craftsman made their 2nd stop of 1994 at the Portland Speedway, in Portland, Oregon, for the Supertruck Portland 20. Dave Ashley led the field to the green flag but it was Rob MacCachren who would pass him in Turn 1 and would lead the first lap as for the second time in a month, NASCAR ran it's second ever exhibition race for it's brand newest series. Much like at Mesa Marin, NASCAR ordered drivers to go easy for the first ten laps and then step it up the final ten to give the crowd a show, and when the halfway mark was reached, Gary Collins worked his way up through the field, moving into second with five to go and cut MacCachren's lead down from a second to six hundredths of a second but ran out of time as MacCachren scored the win. 1.21-Rob MacCachren (20 laps led) 2.12-Gary Collins 3.2-Dave Ashley 4.8-Craig Huartson 5.1-P.J.
