Race #8 - Star 100The NASCAR Winston Modified Tour made their 8th stop of 1986 at the Star Speedway, in Epping, New Hampshire, for the Star 100. John Blewett Jr. led the field to the green flag as for the second time in series history drivers raced at the demanding quarter mile track as Blewett Jr. would lead for the first laps as several early cautions would come out with Blewett Jr. giving up the lead during one to pit for a flat tire. Race #12 - Cam 2 150The NASCAR Winston Modified Tour made their 12th stop of 1986 at the Riverhead Raceway, in Riverhead, New York, for the Cam 2 150. Brian Ross led the field to the green flag but it was Bill Park who would lead the first laps around the quarter mile track as the fans in attendance were given a great showing by the Modified drivers as Park would be challenged by Brian Ross, with the two drivers battling for the lead for nearly forty laps before Ross clipped Park's car and sent him to the inside of the track on the frontstretch and almost into the Turn 1 wall, while Park was able to avoid hitting it, he lost the lead to Ross on Lap 47 and would never recover, falling back to 15th in the final results. Ross, with his toughest challenger falling back, was easily able to keep command of the race, despite catching lap traffic, and would hold off Tom Baldwin for his first win of 1986. Points leader George Kent Jr. led the field to the green flag and would jump out to an early lead around the quarter mile track before the race's lone caution came out on Lap 20 for a two car spin. Once the green flag came back out, Kent Jr. was on defense once again while working his way up from 11th was Jeff Fuller, who waited several laps before making his move on Lap 38 to take the lead. Once in the lead, Fuller was unstoppable, as he would quickly start lapping drivers and pulling away from his challengers, lapping all but one car and would easily score his second win of 1986. Race #14 - Outside Pole QualifierThe NASCAR Winston Modified Tour made their 14th stop of 1986 at the Thompson Speedway, in Thompson, Connecticut, for the Outside Pole Qualifier. Brett Bodine led the field to the green flag and would lead the first two laps around the 0.625 mile track before being passed by Jeff Fuller, who picked up right where he left off at Riverhead and was looking to score his second win in a row, as a caution free race meant that drivers didn't have to make pit stops, with Fuller starting to lap cars on Lap 30. Race #15 - 7-Up 150The NASCAR Winston Modified Tour made their 15th stop of 1986 at the Riverhead Raceway, in Riverhead, New York, for the 7-Up 150. Tony Siscone led the field to the green flag but it would be Mike Stefanik who would lead the first laps around the quarter mile track before losing the lead briefly to Dave Rezendes before taking the lead back on Lap 16. When the race's lone caution came out on Lap 31 it kept drivers close to each other, but when the green came back out, Stefanik was the class of the field, keeping all drivers behind him while working pass lap traffic, leading all but two laps and easily holding off Mike Ewanitsko over the final laps to score his first career win.
