Race #8
It was a clear day in Greenville, South Carolina as the NASCAR Convertible Series made their 8th stop of the 1957 season at the Greenville-Pickens Speedway.
Possum Jones led the field to the Green Flag but it was points leader Joe Weatherly who would lead the first lap before Jones retook the lead. Weatherly would suffer mechanical early and Jones would lose a lap due to a flat tire early, giving the lead to Curtis Turner, who then lost the lead during pitstops himself to defending champion Bob Welborn. Welborn would dominate the day, leading 120 of the 200 laps, but was forced to make a pit stop with forty laps to go, handing the lead back to Turner.
Turner would build up a full lap lead before Welborn and Darel Dieringer were both able to get their laps back, and cut into Turner's lead each lap, but thanks to lap traffic and an eleven second lead, Turner was able to hold on for his second win in a row and the 22nd of his career in the Convertible Series.

Race #9It was a clear day in Wilson, North Carolina as the NASCAR Convertible Series made their 9th stop of the 1957 season at the Wilson Speedway. Shep Langdon led the field to the Green Flag but it was Don Oldenberg who would lead the first lap around the half mile track, a spot Oldenberg would hold for twenty eight laps before he was passed by Larry Frank. Once in the lead, Frank would dominate the first half of the event, leading 91 of the 200 laps, but would lose the lead to Gwyn Staley. After a round of pit stops with forty laps to go, Frank would suffer a broken camshaft, which allowed for Staley to easily pull away to score his first win of 1957. Charlie Cregar led the field to the Green Flag as a tough surface allowed for Cregar to remain in the race lead as multiple crashes would happen during the event, including on pit road, with Cregar lapping much of the field, and would never be passed on track, losing the lead briefly during pit stops to Joe Weatherly, before Cregar retook the lead back and would easily cruse to his first career win, leading 198 of the event's 200 laps. Race #13It was a cloudy day in Langhorne, Pennsylvania as the NASCAR Convertible Series made their 13th stop of the 1957 season at the Langhorne Speedway. Curtis Turner led the field to the Green Flag and would pull away to a small lead early on in the race while his Pete DePaolo teammate and championship points leader Joe Weatherly followed close behind, doing everything in his power to get around Turner, but was unable to get a grip on the low line. Two cautions would come out during the event which gave drivers two chances at making pit stops, but Turner continued to dominate the race, keeping Weatherly behind him and would lead every single lap to score his third win of 1957. Race #14 - Rebel 300It was a clear day in Darlington, South Carolina as the NASCAR Convertible Series made their 14th stop of the 1957 season at the Darlington Raceway for the inaugural Rebel 300. Tim Flock led the field to the Green Flag but it was Bobby Myers who would lead the first lap around the 1.375 mile track that was known as "The Lady in Black", a tough and challenging one groove track as the 17,000 fans in attendance were given a great showing by the twenty seven drivers who tackled the Convertible Series's first ever event at the track as Fireball Roberts would make his way into the lead and would prove to be the dominate car, leading 175 of the event's 219 laps, but Roberts would lose the lead with fifteen laps to go by Tim Flock, who would go on to score his second win of 1957.
