Race #12The NASCAR Grand National Series made their 12th stop of 1951 at the Dayton Speedway, in Dayton, Ohio. Tim Flock led the field to the green flag in front of a crowd of 10,000 fans as Flock would keep all challengers behind him for nearly the entire first half of the race before lap traffic allowed for Red Harvey to take the lead as well as Walt Sprague before Dick Rathman would assume the lead.
